Sorry for the complete and total radio silence (on this journal) in the last month.

So, NaNo stalled out, but I'm going to get back on the horse in January and finish the novel. At least, that's the plan.

I will also be focusing more heavily on my fiction in '08. I'll be posting snippets in progress here under friendslock (including the rest of the NaNo novel -- which has now become JaNoWriMo, I suppose), as well as occasional completed stories that will NOT be locked. Any information that I may have on published work will also be posted here, for public consumption -- this is assuming that I actually manage to publish anything, of course!

Hope to see you in '08!

Cumulative November writing total

To make myself feel like less of a LOSER for being so stalled out on my NaNo novel, I figured I'd tot up all the fiction that I've written this month and see how it comes out. The trouble is, despite a good-faith effort to write in a linear fashion, I've reverted to my usual "grasshopper on crack" style of writing, and I'm currently jumping all over the place on the novel and pinging around between projects, as usual. I'm writing a lot; I'm just, as usual, not finishing anything.

NaNo Novel:

All fiction for Nov.:

Discipline is what I need. (Still, that's a lot less depressing; I might actually make 50,000 words this month, even if it's not on the same project.)
